Three Bags Full

Situated on the corner of a lovely brick-walled building, the first signs you’ll see of Three Bags Full on a typical weekend morning is the long queue of people waiting for a table outside. Do not be put off however, staff at this popular café are very efficient and will have you seated in no time. Otherwise, rock up on a weekday instead.

A warm and pleasant atmosphere greets you as you enter. The industrial-inspired interior of the café gives it a clean and unique look. A range of unique yellow road sign plates make for interesting stool designs. Note the colored upside down teacup lamps! Too cute.

The best way to tell if a breakfast place is any worth eating at is to order the big breakfast meal. My personal rule of thumb: If they can’t get the basics right, the other dishes probably won’t be any different either. There are exceptions, but I digress.

The Big Breakfast at Three Bags Full is amazing! For the standard price of $17.50 you get a pair of perfectly poached eggs on toast, (you may request your preferred style of eggs) well-cooked and tender bacon strips, flavorsome mushrooms and spinach, a hearty sausage, and a serve of savory sweet tomato chutney on the side. It is truly satisfying.

Another delicious dish on the menu is the Baghdad Omelette, $14.50. It’s made of soft potato cubes, fresh avocado, Middle Eastern spices, and light youghurt nicely rolled together on seeded bread. An interesting blend of flavour fills your mouth with every bite.

If you’re a sweet tooth, go for the Ricotta Hot Cakes, $14.50. The natural sweetness of the poached fruit goes well with the orange infused ricotta. It’s not too strong a taste. The serving size fills your stomach just nice.

Finally and most importantly, I’d rate the coffee here a 9/10. It is smooth and light to the tongue.
